 Horrible customer service very expensive and rude  this school just be closed down their horrible  Very unorganized LVN program  Great school and graduated 2020.   My experience in Quest Nursing Education Center was awesome. If you want to take your NCLEX-PN and pass your first attempt then Quest is for you. You get quality education from the school. John Ford was knowledgeable professional and fun instructor for this BLS course. I highly recommend him! John was great I am sure the job is repetitive with test questions and videos all day long however, you wouldn’t know it. The inflection in his voice during the videos and learning portion. Also during the skills assessment. Light hearted, but definitely made sure we knew what we were doing. Being in the healthcare industry 13 years, taking this class numerous times, he was by far the top 3 instructor Instructor John was very informative and helpful. Absolutely lo ed John. Hands down best instructor I've ever had. I want him as my instructor for my next renewal. Very helpful, made the content easy to digest, and he thought he was funny and that made him hilarious. I need to get my CPR Certification done by the end of this month. I signed up for the July 2nd class to which it was rescheduled to July 16th. This did not work with my teaching schedule and tried to get a refund.\n\nIt took this company days to respond to my refund request and didn't even honor it. They said they would reschedule my class free of charge (?) and refund me $20. Which I didn't take because by that point I had moved my schedule around to make the class 2 weeks after my initial class.\n\nNow just a few days before the rescheduled class I get the same email saying "Due to the instructors availability" we need to reschedule again. And of course to day I can't make.\n\nI don't understand why they don't have substitute teachers for reasons like this. The customer service person Ina was really nice when I called right now and guided me on how to send a proper email to receive my refund. She also mentioned she would send my info in the Refund Group Chat they have.\n\nIna gets 5 stars, but the company gets 1.  I love the class !! PHB has changed my life. I went from a ski bum to an ICU nurse. It’s all thanks to PHB, through them I got my EMT and got to work on a rig, then got my CPT-1 and became tech in the ER. Gained experience got my RN license, PHB got me up to speed with my NRP/ACLS/BLS/PALS and even my EKG 12 lead dialed in. Their systems work. They are accommodating and above all professional and dependable.  They have been with me every step of the way and I wanted to give a BIG shout out to the team. I took their 5 week course with prior experience, and I found their “crawl walk run” approach to support myself and my peers very well. It ensured we were ready for the skills testing and NREMT in a relatively short period of time. I’ve had the ability to compare this course to a 16 week course I’ve taken in the past and can truly say it was more thorough and more helpful than the longer course, which had many more students and much less of a focus on skills and real world application. Because of the amount of seats the class is limited to, each and everyone had the opportunity to ask questions as often and as much as needed. One on one and skills  practice time with instructors were consistently available every day we were there. The instructors often volunteered their own personal time to host additional study sessions outside of the course. They are knowledgeable and hold you to a high standard, but also encourage each and every student to do their best, regardless of their level of experience. In fact, the best students were those who did not have prior experience; they started fresh without any bad habits. If you want a course that will 100% prepare you for a career in EMS with a focus on helping you become a better provider AND passing the NREMT, this is for you.\n\nAdditionally, PHB had multiple EMS companies and agencies come in to pitch their available jobs to graduates from the program, even going as far as helping students prepare resumes and connecting them with these ambulance companies. These companies were actively looking to recruit from this program, which was undoubtedly a great help to graduates of this class.\n\nThat being said, I’ve seen other reviews criticizing the para-military aspects of the course. I disagree with those negative comments. As a Marine and firefighter, I firmly believe that these methods are effective in simulating the high-stress environment you will experience in the field as first responder. None of their methods of instruction are used excessively - only as needed, with a purpose. If you have any trouble with these brief but intense training situations then you may need to rethink this career. Not all calls will be like this, but you’ll be ready for the ones that are. PHB instills this in their students and prepares them using these simulated intense environments with this purpose - again, during  training, not during lecture or unnecessarily. This ensures you are ready for those low acuity and difficult/intense calls. Trust the process.\n\nPHB instills punctuality, integrity, and perseverance with the attitude that we as students are the future of EMS. All these things are necessary to provide good patient care and to be compassionate to our patients and our partners. For that I am very grateful.\n\nI usually struggle with academic courses due to my ADHD and hands on learning preference, but PHB set me up for success and I was able to complete the course and understand the material well. You can get through PHB, with all their support, great instructors, and their effective process, and you will come out of it as a great or better provider.\n\n-PHB45 2023 I took BLS for heathcare providers and my instructor was Yasmine. She was fun, engaging and had organized a large amount of material in a way that made it very understandable. Highly recommend. I recently took a virtual TNCC class with Steven Jacobson through Project Heartbeat. Steven is clearly knowledgeable and an expert in trauma care. He teaches the TNCC concepts in a clear and comprehensive manner.  Steven is interesting to learn from because he relates all of the concepts he is teaching in class to real life scenarios. I love how he tailors care of the trauma patient to all of the learners different hospital acuity levels. His passion for trauma care is inspiring.
