Mr. Warren and Ms. Perkins have been the best teacher duo with Mr. Warren's many years of experience giving lectures comes natural to him. Ms. Perkins' is over at the lab and she's great at the hands on part of the course. Overall I am very happy with my decision met some great people and felt very welcomed by everyone. I took the Phlebotomy program here at CalRegional, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made! My instructor Tom was amazing. He was very informative and made sure we completely understood what was being taught in class. Our skills instructor Veronica was amazing as well. They were both very helpful inside and out of the lab with new techniques and tricks being taught. And as scared and unsure as I was when I first started I’m glad I stuck it out because of them. Corinne is an awesome instructor, she is kind relatable and very patient. Hi took the class with Megan. She was very sweet and understanding. Really helped me learn the best I could. I highly recommend her as a teacher. Love the courses and my teacher was amazing she helped with any questions and was patient I started 11-4 and finished 12-9. It was an amazing experience. I did the Saturday course and had Corrina as my teacher and let me tell you she is amazing knowledgeable, and teaches you in away you understand and her technique in the way she draws blood and teaches you is wonderful, I have prior experience in drawing blood because I am a medical assistant. There were things that I had not know and she tough me when I left on my last day I was prepared, I took the test as soon as they game thee go ahead , and passed and am already for extern I will say it does suck that I have to wait till March but that is ok.\nThank you Corrina for all the help. Corinna was an amazing instructor and she taught us a lot about in class and real world phlebotomy.  She was sweet and very hands on with us.  Helped us a lot along the way.  I made a family in this class and I’m glad to know that they will be a forever blood family. This was a fantastic class full of great students and a fabulous instructor! Corinna taught us so much and was super patient. I learned a lot. We we practiced a lot. It was a GREAT overall experience! Had the best teacher very knowledgeable...taught us alot Instructor Megan is very professional and helpful! She goes out of her way to explain the material. Teacher is amazing gives a lot of detail very patient and understanding but the internet is very slow or sometimes there no internet Great class my instructor Corinna was so nice and very knowledgeable about what she was teaching us. School was great, fast and easy. UNFORTUNATELY, CAN'T SAY about the process after you're done with school. After two weeks from finishing the course, I was certified. EIGHT months later, I finally had my externship and it was an "early," one. Once after you are done with your externship, it's $100 for applying for your license and if you have to order your transcript from school (college or high school), that's another additional fee. Then you can wait up to 90 days and once you're approved, it'll be another TEN days or so for them to post up your credentials online (so future employers can check if you're legit).\n\nSo, don't expect to be licensed right after you're done with the course.\n\n(I only took this course believing that it would be easy of getting a job right afterwards. My sister got her CNA and my friend has her Medical Assistant et, and they didn't take this long to get their paperwork before applying to jobs.) Corinna was such a nice and informative teacher. I’m happy she got to teach a portion of our class.   Corinna is the best teacher she’s is very informative and very helpful I had such a great experience! My class was very enjoyable learned a lot, but had family emergencies after so now I’d like to retrain at the same facility. It was a great experience and the teacher I had was very helpful, patient, and kind. I learned a lot from the book that was given to us the first day but I don’t feel like that alone prepared me well enough for the state exam. I would give this place 5 stars but I’m still waiting for my externship I was told to wait a least 3 months but it has now been 5 months since I’ve started the course and four months since I’ve passed the exam. I was told to call the student center, but they tell me to check my student account and to keep checking but never have asked for my name or any other information.  Amazing class & people!! Has been an easy transition into the work force. I would recommend to anyone who wants a positive experience! EXPERTS and EXPERIENCE. These guys teach phlebotomy like an art. There’s so much insight and education that comes from their years of teaching. Hands down the best and you won’t be disappointed. Such an amazing course with a great instructor. Would recommend to other people who have interest in phlebotomy. Our instructor was amazing however, the book content was nothing like the national exam. Also, I took my exam at the end of May and the program says they will place you with an externship within 4-6 weeks but I’m not getting placed with my externship until October.  I really enjoyed the program and my classmates that were in the class with me. With the teacher and classmates made it fun and very encouraging for one another to learn and the skills that was given to us. I would refer this program to anyone who wants to continue there career in the medical field. I also attended the business program here I learned absolutely nothing. Career services is an absolute joke they tell you to apply on indeed, so why did I go to school  and waste my time when they promote to help find a job,Isn’t that their whole job?? They treat their employees like trash I was let go because of favoritism they couldn’t answer my question when I asked why I was chosen to be let go,I was hired on first then two more people who had no experience were hired. I had to train them with no extra pay, they refused to learn the payments process because they were “uncomfortable”so I had to do it for them.  please take this as a warning and do not attend!!!    A wonderful place to work! SJVC has gone above and beyond! We have one of the most supportive Management Teams! I went to SJVC in 2018 for Medical assistant program, all we did was prepare for the NCCT test and I passed. However my issues is the hiring requirement for instructors, it’s a hit or miss and while I respect my past instructors I also I can’t say they did a real good job especially having bachelor/ associate degrees. I was never told to upload my diploma so I was never truly certified. I struggled miserably in the field with basic stuff like icd 10 cpt codes even how to answer a phone but hey I learned on my own. I’m thankful for my experience for it made me a better medical assistant instructor to my students and I use my experience that I went through at SJVC and the clinic/ urgent care to make sure that they understand the basics task a medical assistant might encounter. My experience at SJVC so far has been wonderful. I enjoyed all my classes and I have great instructors that helps us all the way. This is not good service. This school takes your money and does not help you. Good campus, really good curriculum. There were so many bad things that were said about the staff from older students.. I didn't believe it, but then you experience it 😒 . Great school but it's best if you just don't be yourself with some of the staff. Some aernt good with people but they are authority. You may be treated like your still in high school or as if your not an adult.  But very great school. You will learn a lot! The Visalia  location is a joke they don't ever answer there phone or call back The counselors aren’t much help. They give you attitude so be careful enrolling into this school. Dean doesn’t care or address problems his students bring up. This place is a joke. Spend your money somewhere else SJVC Fresno location is genuinely an awful place to work. I worked there for almost a year with NO supervision. I never had a direct boss and had a lack of training. They expect you to reach a high goal with no training or support. The management has always been negative and offered zero support when we would ask for help, bring up issues, and treated us poorly. They FIRE staff so often and associates are constantly quitting after they realize how bad the job is. Everything was always your fault, no matter what the circumstances were. It was extremely draining to work for a company who did not value their employees hard work and constantly treated them with disrespect. If anyone is looking into the medical assistant field please do yourself a favor and look at the pay rate and how much it costs to attend this horrible program. Program costs about 30k and MA barely make that yearly, you can go to a community college for about the same time and get paid to go. I cannot wait for SJVC to get sued for taking advantage of vulnerable people, giving false promises to students of a career in medical assistant, you will not be able to live on that type of low income. You have a better opportunity making more money at Target, most of my credits did not transfer even though I was told they would so I wasted my time. I had to retake most of my classes which I did in about the same time as I was at sjvc and will be applying to the nursing program. This is a horrible school Great school would recommend   I just got a question, does this college have PA(physician assistant) program?   I was not sure what to expect with many apprehensions of returning to school after 20+ years staying home, raising my children. SJVC has an excellent MA program, with caring instructors who are there to guide you and assist you any way they can. The curriculum is easy to follow and the hands on labs are amazing. The administration department and dean also makes themselves available with any assistance needed. I have felt I had a full support group at SJVC. I would highly recommend SJVC.  Currently in the DA program and its really good. The teachers/professors really try to help you succeed. Would recommend not working if you can due to this being accelerated learning. Everyone in the main office was so nice, helpful and informative. I am so excited to go back to school and start on my prerequisites for the lvn program. The lady who helped me did my enrollment for the anatomy and physiology class super quick and easy. She also gave me flyers of info about the other classes that I needed to take and who I needed to call to get started. The African American male who helped me at the front desk of the HR hiring even today at  the School district was not focused. Was helping me with no confidence of what he was doing and didn’t speak up well. I could hardly understand him. I believe in those jobs you need to be very confident and speak clearly to the public as you are helping them out. I didn’t get this from him. Also the lady who was doing the finger prints was pressing so hard on my finger that she was hurting me. I told to sanitize the machine where I was putting my fingers because she didn’t. And the machine was not accepting my finger prints because the machine was dirty I had sanitized my hands already. She was hurting my finger cause she was so lazy to sanitize the machine. That is unbelievable and unacceptable. You guys should check on that. I had a horrible experience with these two people. Nice place       Awesome teachers and staff   I had the worst experience here with councilor and vice-principal I had sign up for independent studies to finish up my master agreement stated English history and algebra to finish up in independent studies well something happend to were Criteria was not meeting requirements for algebra in program and they did not allow me to finish my course I had sign and enrolled before anything took in affect so they least they could of done was let me finish since I just needed 2 credits well I went in to talk to counselor she was so rude about the situation she told me my only choice was to either do online classes or come in to take a class, I told her I couldn’t do online because the program is so complicated and I didn’t do well the last time around and coming in for classes wouldn’t work since I work full time she said well we are not here to work around your sheduale. Like wth yes you are you get paid for students graduating well then I talked to vice principal about it she had an attitude when I return her call telling me I don’t know what you want me to do there is nothing I can do for you and been totally rude about the situation I was in to finish since I want to further my education to become something better but they put me back 3 steps back now I have to enroll to another school they are careless here oh and the councilor once you have an appointment makes you wait up to like 20-30 minutes.  Great place to take CTE classes they offer a range of free programs you can take. All you have to pay for is registration.  Its good school but they should not kick out if you miss one class even if is an emergency or be late for some reason if you have kids and the majority of teachers or rude and raises to Mexicans or Latinos  Nice and very very very good Fresno Adult School is a great establishment that really helps the community and those adults and need that want to further their education or catch up. Did Administration is pretty slow but their prices are fair and reasonable. They have a great facility but honestly there is nothing weird smell to it, like an old smell that doesn't go away. Very to the point and professional This program was great when I first did it! I did it with Ms Lynne & Jodie. They both communicated so well! They actually taught you! Did it again and at first it was great until I communicated with one of the instructors about a test and she stated we would talk about it after submitting the other test. Long story short they switch up on the due dates! I should have been dropped on the 10th due to a test but they let me be in the program and I didn’t get dropped until 8 days later at 9:22pm a day before Labs! In the email it said from Luna that at 8:13 she had checked but the email was sent at 9:22. Mind you the test that I had to do on Monday didn’t have a due date until the 23rd. So unprofessional because you cannot return the scrubs that you have to buy from them!  60hrs are required you don’t even do the 60hours you do less than that on the lectures! I would say if you talk to Ms Luna or Ms Mercy  over zoom make sure you write an email stating what was said. So this doesn’t happen to you!! Ms Mercy will teach you! On the other hand Ms Luna will read slides half the time she mixes up things & will read you the slides instead of going into depth! Great and fast paced program! The Instructors Mrs Mercy and Mrs Memory were super helpful! my experience was amazing. wonderful staff and instructors.    Great school, staff and teachers are so friendly and really care about you! My teacher Mrs. Perez was amazing!
