Always consult the official Maryland Board of Nursing website for the most current requirements and procedures.

Maryland's Unique CNA Advantage

No Exam Required for Hospital Work

Maryland allows CNAs to work in hospitals, clinics, and physician offices without taking the state certification exam. This gives you faster entry into healthcare careers.

CNA/GNA Dual Certification

Maryland offers both CNA and GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) pathways. Complete your program and you're eligible for both certifications, expanding your career options.
