 I love them Highly Recommend!!! If you want to better your understanding and outlook on life .Also if your interested in a career path in the medical field .   Med Technician course is a joke, you don’t need the class you can just go a Assisted living facility and be trained and hired, the instructor doesn’t have a real any type of degree in education and is very rude, I plan on reporting this place to the Florida board of education. They are amazing I signed up for the Phlebotomy class in April. It was a 2 week course, 3 days each week from 5-8pm. For starters, our instructor (Christine)  was EXTREMELY disrespectful. She wasn't as knowledgeable on the material as I would have liked. She ignored our questions and would catch attitudes with my classmates for no reason and ask them inappropriate and personal questions about their lives. When we took our exam we were given a piece of paper saying we completed the class and nothing more. After trying to get a job with that piece of paper I was asked a few questions about what I learned. I showed the woman my study papers and was informed that I in fact had not learned but a 1/3 of the information I would need as an entry level phlebotomy tech!\n\nAlso, A few of my classmates registered for the NHA exam which was rescheduled every time we went to the center to take it. We were told we could come back over and over and never took the test for many reasons that didn't add up. Eventually after asking for a refund and never hearing back, I went to my bank to dispute the charge. -10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND for phlebotomy classes !! I wish I could reach someone for a refund. Highly disappointed!! Acumen was a rip off to my whole classmates. We took a 2-week course every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for those 2 weeks and took an exam after. We were supposed to be certified as State of Florida phlebotomists and we haven't gotten any proper certificate or a phlebotomy number that certifies us officially as phlebotomists.\nSomething isn't right about either that training or this training center. I wouldn't recommend! Mrs. Peterson is a great teacher. I loved the class.!! Very informative! I have a great job thanks to This school For those of you who just graduated school, want to change your career path, or simply just bored...please consider becoming a CNA and taking your class with Acumen. As someone who strives for perfection and overthinks EVERYTHING, Acumen not only equipped and prepared me with the tools and skills I needed to pass the test but had so much faith and support for me. The staff go above and beyond for their students. Not only are they so kind and helpful, but truly care about their students and the quality of their work. They ensure each student feels confident and comfortable and are so welcoming to each and every question you may possibly have. I can proudly say I passed my test with flying colors and have the Acumen staff to thank. The staff at Acumen gave me some of the best things a young adult could have: a new technical certificate to build my medical career on, new knowledge to help educate others, and restored my confidence. Once again, thank you Acumen. Anyone who is conflicted on where to go or where to begin, START HERE! You won't regret it:) Was a 2 week wait to get me in for a CPR class, wanted to pay the deposit and if I found somewhere that could give me in sooner take my deposit back they don't allow this. But, the lady in front of me who was late to class with an excuse about traveling across town and traffic etc. could get a refund on being late??  This place is trashy, they allow loud people on their telephones watching videos and talking in the lobby. I ended up going to first Coast CPR class on Phillips highway and WOW!! They provide snacks, crackers, soda, water, small candies and it is sooo clean. Don't waste your time with this ratchet place!! And this place is more expensive by $10 😂\nIt's worth the drive to go across town you will not regret it just read the reviews on reach place. I took the 6 hour Med Tech Training course with Mrs. Christine Martin today and she was awesome! I would absolutely recommend Acumen for this course. She is very through and answers all questions asked! I will be returning on 6/23/2023 to take the BLS Course. 🙂❤️ Hands on CNA training with my trainer Ms. Chavany she was nothing short of amazing! They train you for the state exam in less than a week. I was able to pass my exam with their expertise. I also came back to get my BLS/CPR Cert. They are literally a one stop shop for your cna and med certification needs  ⭐️ Thank you! Would definitely recommend. Acumen has a wonderful training program. Mrs. Laiza our training instructor is very patient and helpful. 💜 it can be annoying when you have to clarify things repeatedly but Mrs laiza had no problems doing so and I appreciate that so much!! Everything is hands meaning everyone’s involved. Everyone is different and my class everyone had character so it was very animated/ fun. You would expect it to be boring and slow but no. You learn so much with wonderful people and instructors. Thank you Acumen for helping me! Do not go here for fingerprinting. The people running it routinely don’t show up and they don’t even have the common decency to let you know before you show up for an appointment. Four years ago I took the class and my test and it was fantastic Rod was a great teacher,leader and also a brilliant friend to me and I just enjoy my experience with him and I learned so much just an a couple of days. And now I'm the best CNA ever 👍🤞👌 Went here to take cna class and test and passed both parts. I definitely recommend acumen for cna training!!! My students went here to take the cna exam. They stated the person who was doing the skills, wasn’t really paying attention to them. They stated the person would fail them because she didn’t see them do the skills.. I have heard about them failing a lot of the students. I will not

  Couldn’t really tell you about the Red Cross building. I was just there to get a photo of the historical marker. Sorry. And the only one disaster but two they were terrific to what's stepping up and helping a complete stranger's definitely at 5 the only ones that stepped up when I had a no idea what to d The Red Cross does an excellent job getting out to the hurting people.  All about saving lives The most friendliest people you'll ever meet Very nice people, very nice place! There is a dire need for blood donations...Please donate ASAP, and often, if possible. Worked here many years ago.  Great staff and facility. Today was the Easter Egg Hunt at Adventure Landing and I think that it was a complete disaster and a scam with Red Cross for money. The website clearly states 8am starts the registration and it didn’t start until 8:30. The hunt didn’t start until after 9 and it was only for 5 eggs?? My daughter picked up an extra one and one the guys reached in and took one out. There needs to be a clear communication on the experience so parents can decide whether to wake up at the crack of dawn or not! Then you have the option to spend $20 on playing but it doesn’t start until 11?(I know this is on Adventure Landing but I’m including it anyways) Who wants to sit around for 2 hours? The entire experience was awful to “raise money” and it should have been fun for the kids. By the time the kids were able to get eggs, they were so damn restless and ready to go. Do better! The eggs included bs! Dollar store toys, empty, and coupons for Adventure Landing! Despicable. I hope you achieved your goal which is your only focus.    They help me alot when my home flooded. Thank you guy some much. They called and check up on me and my family. We registered and paid for the lifeguard certification class for my son on a Tuesday. On the Thursday before the Saturday class we received a confirmation email. When we showed up to the pool (45 minutes away), the pool owner (not the scheduled instructor) stated that there were no classes for the month due to Covid. We were never contacted by the Red Cross or the instructor letting us know this. Two weeks later we still haven't received a refund for the class, the upcoming classes that are actually cancelled are still listed on the Red Cross website, and neither the Red Cross nor the instructor can give us answers on how such an oversight can happen. Very disappointed that the Red Cross allowing such shady practices. A great nonprofit organizer that's very active in the community. Glad to be a volunteer with them.  I volunteer there  Fantastic volunteers It may read closed but we are always ready and reachable to help in any home fire or disaster that may occur,,,,, yiC What a great organization to volenteer for. It gives you an appreciation for what you have in life. It a great feeling knowing your helping people who are experiencing a disaster in their lives as you are the first one on the scene to show them compassion and offer a hand. Slow classes and don't be even a minute late or they won't let you in. Helpful.  Thank you to Red Cross Ms. Sneed! She doing a great job and patient. Thank for your time to teach us how to use the tech thing. 😊 Great place for resources when loss during severe weather,  floods, and fire. I called this morning to speak with crystal who I've dealt with since yesterday and ended up on the phone with the supervisor Andrea. She was absolutely digusting to me on the phone and because I said something back to her my family and I are not allowed at the shelter at the Leon mann building in morehead city NC. We are one of the many families that live at crystal coast apartments that have 72 hours to vacate the property with nowhere to go. She has banned us from going to the shelter!!! the red cross truck drove thru 236 harris creek loop road in country side mhp never asked any one if they needed any thing the driver and his back up guide who got out of the truck looked right at me and got in the truckin the drive way before mine and left thanks for nothing red cross  poor showing we had no food here or power for 7 days Helping people in a time of need is such a rewarding feeling!!💗💞 George was a great teacher for the First Aid class. Excellent staff.  GREAT place to get the best education on becoming a CNA. Awesome program, excellent instructors, and amazing hands on experience both in the classroom & in clinicals. Really prepped me for real life career situations. Thank you. They sum good peeps!! They have tons of classes and are very nice and welcoming. I have been impacted by Hurricane Irma. Ive been without running water for 4 days. I have children, no transportation, and I've had surgery. I called to request a few bottles of water and they will not bring any. I will no longer donate to red cross. And will share my story to everyone I get a chance to minister to my community. definitely DO NOT recommend taking the CNA evening class. The instructors where great but the amount of money you pay isnt worth it at all. The facility we went to offered no vast opportunities to practice our skills, towards the end of all of the lessons we just wasted time.\nI dont know what the day classes are like but try it. Awesome people.  The building was gross and falling apart. I think the establishment should be taken care of better. My class was informative but, very boring. Excellent experience with CPR classes.
