Best CNA Classes in Hawaii
CNA Hawaii Institute, LLC

I really enjoyed all the time i’ve spent with all people i’ve ever met here in this class! I am glad that i could get chance to connect with nice people and instructor. For Uncle Jing, Mrs Christine, Mrs Jennelyn, I would like to say thank you guys and of course to Ma’am Lucy which gave us BEST education & info to us. This was such a good Phlebotomy class! I had a great time learning new subjects from Dr. Harold. I also enjoyed the hands-on activities. I entered this program without any knowledge in Phlebotomy, but I finished strong with new capabilities that I didn’t know I had. Awesome class! Great instructor Ms Lucy was the best! Confident in my training. Lovely family. I will 100% very much recommend this school to anyone wanting there CNA or Phlebotomy. They are very caring and supportive people and Ma’am Lucy is a very good teacher! They will make sure you do you best and succeed. I loved my classes and will miss them very much!!!! Taking the Phlebotomy Training Program was the best decision I’ve ever made. Thank you Dr. Harold Macapulay for sharing your knowledge with us (batch 13).

Hawaii Medical Training Center – Honolulu

I took the 4-week accelerated program on Saturdays and learned so much! Porscha is an amazing instructor that is not only great at guiding you through each procedure but also explains the “why?” for every step. I went into this not having any type of medical experience and I have finished with tons of medical knowledge and confidence in phlebotomy procedures! Ms. Porsha at HMTC is an intense and quality instructor. If you are looking to actually learn and find your place in the medical field, look no further! I’ve learned so much thanks to Richard and Porsha! I took 6 weeks program, first 3 weeks was the hardest for me since there were quizzes three times a week, but if you have any questions or concerns you can reach out to the instructor and she’ll go over the study guide with you to help you. It is fast paced and you have to have great time management skills, communication skills and dedication to successfully complete the course. Instructor is very easy to talk to, if your interested in joining the medical field taking this course would be a great opportunity for your ladder of success! This class is great Ms.Porcha always available for help. Attending HMTC has been a great experience.

Argosy University, Hawaii

I recently visited Hawaii to attend my graduation ceremony for earning and completing my doctorate degree in 2012. I enjoyed everything about Hawaii and was sad to leave and looking forward to returning soon. The people, the food, the beaches, and the shopping are memories and experiences I will never forget. The Hawaiian Luau and the hoarse back riding are experiences that I will never forget. The Diamond Head Mountain lookout was fabulous and fantastic. I got it all on camera and video, I will never be the same. Argosy University, Hawaii is a non-profit educational institution offering a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in a student-centered, flexible learning environment. The admin staff and faculty are friendly and helpful. When you find someone that understands your situation and culture and will still push for you to the finish line, that’s a plus. Thank you Argosy Hawaii.

Hawaii Healthcare School

The best way to reach them is to email Rumi at rmurata@pure-real.com. Classes are only in Japanese and more expensive than competing places. It was a very professional atmosphere. Class was educational and fun. Highly recommended. The decisive factor in applying to this school was that there were Japanese textbooks and class explanations in Japanese. It was very helpful for me to understand. Also, seeing Mona-sensei’s gentle and warm personality made me think about not only knowledge and experience, but also what is necessary as an NA as a person. Not only the lectures, but also the classes in the lab were carefully and repeatedly taught in detail. I was able to remember it as an action. I am sure that what I learned at this school will help me not only as an NA professional, but also in my future life. I highly recommend this school to Japanese people who are interested in NA but feel uneasy about it. On August 31, 2021, I graduated from Hawaii Healthcare School’s nurse assistant class. For those who are unsure about their age or English ability and are wondering whether to obtain an NA qualification, we recommend this course with a Japanese interpreter.

University of Hawai’i – Hawaiʻi Community College – Pālamanui

Palamanui is a beautiful new college campus of Hawaii Community College through the University of Hawaii with many excellent programs that serve the local community. My daughter is now attending Palamanui fall session and she loves it and wants to move to Kona eventually to keep attending. The staff are very helpful and friendly, always willing to help you out or point you in the right direction. The security is great, friendly and talk story to inform you. Excellent education in Kona. Great things come in small packages. Get smart. Come to Palamanui, a UH Center on the west side of Hawaiʻi Island. It’s a great place with two thumbs up and a gorgeous campus.

Healthcare Training & Career Consultants, Inc.

I highly recommend HTCC. I have known Mrs. Cionie since 2006 when I first took the Certified Nurse Aide course (and the business was located on North King). In 2020 I completed the course again, passed my Prometric in 2021, and Feb 2023 got recertified for agency work– all here. More about the CNA course if you are considering a career change: the course is about $1000 payable by money order, includes a textbook and uniform (you need to buy your own white shoes), and runs 2 weeks for day and night courses. Weekends will take longer. Show up on time, do your homework and reading, have compassion for future patients. On the last 2 days of class several health care companies including home care and nursing facilities will come to make job presentations. Pre-pandemic there were 3 days of clinic experience at Care Center nursing home and a candlelight ceremony dinner but those have been suspended; their pamphlets and material are on the shelf downstairs. Cionie is the program director, while daughter April and son Andy help teach, and husband Alex handles the office work.

Fast CPR

I have renewed my BLS CPR certification several times over the years and highly recommend them. The owner is a Turkish guy who makes it fun but still gives you the complete experience. My BLS course lasted less than 2 hours; other places take much longer (hello ARC) and go over the fine print. I found Fast CPR online and contacted them to see if I could get into a class immediately. They were able to accommodate me. The presenter was prepared and had real life scenarios. She was friendly, thorough, and willing to cover some material in more depth and repeatedly for those who needed it. Fast yet effective. The guys are silly and try to make a dull situation entertaining! They’re adorable and really good considering they’ve probably taught the class a trillion times. If you need your BLS, this is the place to go! Best class CPR/BLS class I’ve ever taken.

Hawaii Job Corps Center

Waimanalo Job Corps has been a great experience to me because of the cultures and people ive met. The recreation hall isn’t much in there but the staffs work hard so that every trainees in there has fun and a great time. The dinning hall staffs cook great food and honestly i miss it lol. The security there does a great job at doing what they need to do and i love how they spend their time to communicate and talk stories with us trainees. The best part about the R.A is when they treat each and one of their trainees as their own children and i really appreciate and thank them for that. I used to be a student yr2015-16 I took the Culinary trade with Chef Tom. I learned so much from him and had many great experiences. I cannot thank them enough for all the opportunity and skills they have presented to me. If you want to change your life around this is the one place you can do just that. This is where you’ll meet people from around the world. The staff were very professional and treat you like a family even when you’re done with the program. I loved it here, and if i were to go back in time and relive it all over i would.

Kapiʻolani Community College

They have built the most amazing cactus garden that I have ever seen. When I seen this garden from across the street on my way to the diamond head hiking trail I knew I was going to have to stop on my way back. It’s truly a beautiful thing to behold some how they took mother nature’s most hostile plants and made them into a amazing beautiful place to visit. The cactus garden on campus here, is a must see! Do take the time to stop by on your way to the Diamond Head hiking trails. It’s beauty will not disappoint. My husband said it looks like you are on a different planet even, particularly next to the big round cacti patch. This review is for the $5 Bento truck in the KCC parking lot: I Order from here once in a while but this time the food was terrible. Garlic chicken had an old spoiled chicken taste to it. They cooked it right before it was going bad… hence the $5 bento price. Very nice campus. Worth visiting if you can get a ride. Parking available only for students and staff. Beautiful campus with amazing views. The artwork is excellent and fun!

Leeward Community College, Waiʻanae Moku

Waianae moku is the best college I have ever been to. The instructers and staff really do care and want to help you in any way, working with you and the best for you. I love how everything comes together with sobriety recovery and addictions. The location is great for students that live on the Waianae Coast. It’s awesome!

American Red Cross

I thought the whole mission of the Red Cross was to assist others in the time of need. Here’s their mission statement The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.. YET, I witness an employee yelling at a homeless person who was utilizing their outside water hose to bathe and collect drinking water in a discreet area on their property thereafter locking up all the faucets. They go all over the world yet can’t let a homeless person use their faucet. I signed up for an instructor training course back in May. In June I was sent an email it was canceled. My coworker received her refund right away. I however had multiple conversations with Red cross about not receiving one. They insisted I did. I sent in bank statements to show proof, had left multiple more messages and they have not yet returned any of my calls or sent my $350 refund to me. HORRIBLE, service. I know it is a non-profit organization, but it was very frustrating when the class got canceled without any notice when I scheduled a class on a weekend, and it was due to Instructor not showing up.
