CNA Training in Colorado

The state of Colorado needs you to have documents showing that you have completed at least five semester hours in studying fundamentals of nursing to sit for the state CNA certification exam.

You need to contact your nearest cna training center and ask them to send your official documents to the Colorado Board of Nursing. Once your documents are approved by the state board you will be able to sit for the exam and become a certified nursing assistant. The salary of a certified nursing assistant in Colorado depends on the location of your employer and your experience. A certified nursing assistant with no experience can expect an annual salary of $26,000 in Boulder, Colorado.

A student of nursing is allowed to take the CNA exam without completing a separate certified nursing training program. This is applicable for students who complete at least five semesters of training. Nursing students are allowed to sit  the certification exam because they pursue a higher level of training which includes all the topics required to become a certified nursing assistant.

If you have completed your training in a different state then also you can sit the certification exam in Colorado. There is no need for you to get admitted to another  training program again in Colorado. You need to contact the testing agency for your registration. A certified nursing assistant with a suspended cna certificate can sit for the exam again and re-apply for certification. Each application is considered by the Colorado Board of Nursing before rejecting or accepting it.
